Recently, Outlook magazine conducted a survey to find out the top 100 engineering colleges in India. My alma mater, College of Engineering, Trivandrum (CET) has been ranked at 47th spot. 1,346 engineering colleges across India were included in this study.
I was unable to blog for the past few months due to a few personal reasons. Hope to blog regularly from now.
After a very long wait, I got a good news - an admit from University of Massachusetts, Amherst for MS in EE. As usual, I was checking the status pages of the universities I had applied to; so this one came as a pleasant surprise. The status page said:
Congratulations, your application has received a favorable recommendation by the graduate faculty in your desired program of study. Your application is currently being reviewed by the Office of Foreign Students and Scholars for visa compliance. After this review is completed, the Graduate Dean will be issuing your formal offer of admission. Check back in about 7 days to see if your status has changed to "accepted".
I am so much relieved! 
Seems like this year’s fall admissions have started. My admit at University of Southern California(USC) has been confirmed, and I have already received a reject from Ohio State University (OSU). I was hoping I would get an admit there because I was really interested in the research done by a professor. That was in line with my final year project, so had projected that in my SoP.
I keep on seeing many admits and rejects in TestMagic and Edulix. I sincerely hope that I get atleast one admit from my pending university list.
After days and nights of endless work, I was able to release ClickAdsPro Version 2 in time. It has been a wonderful experience rewriting the whole script from scratch, I was able to improve it a lot!
Sorry for being late, I was neck deep with work due to the ClickAdsPro Version 2 release!

My seniors at College of Engineering, Trivandrum has started a new community site for CET alumni. I think it is a great idea - Kudos to the initiators! The site is available here.
After studying for a month and a half, I took the GRE. Result was disappointing - I could score only 1340 (Q: 790, V550). I am really pissed off since I never used to get anything below 1450 in my practise tests. In PP1, I scored 1470 (Q800, V670); in PP2, I did 1450 (Q760, V690). I also took all the 27 bigbook tests, and scored an average of 690 in verbal. Don’t know what went wrong in the real test! I don’t know how this is going to affect my chances of securing admissions from good schools, but I am being optmistic this time. I was able to prepare a good SoP, and I could send all the applications in a timely manner.
Having done everything, now is the time to wait for admissions!
It will not be possible for me to blog for the next one month. I have to study a lot for the GRE - it is happening on the 31st of October. Again, I need to prepare my SoP and send application packages to universities. All these stuff will keep me busy, so I won’t be able to spend enough time blogging!
It was an eventful journey - both mine & the time traveler’s. The Time Machine by H.G.Wells is an impressive fiction novel. A beautifully said story. This novel was my companion when I was travelling to my home today!
